now personally, i have been thrilled about the latest turn of events. But none of this "presidential-mania" has really hit me, until now. it is now that i turn on the television, and i see ALL this media........ALL these cameras.....ALL this attention surrounding ONE M.A.N. and his family, and i realize how much it ALL means.
as i sit down in front of this television watching this beautiful, historical, monumental moment in history unfold, i think of those before and how it might've felt to sit down in front of a television and watch a culutral icon give a speech that will change the WORLD, and go down in history.
i realize that back then, it was just ONE M.A.N. setting out to change the COURSE of america. Martin Luther King, J.R. was given a vision, a dream by none other than our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And thanks to Mr. King, and his obedience, we're able to see what that dream/vision was all about. Some say that THIS moment, THIS day IS the dream fulfilled within itselft. But NO!, THIS moment, THIS day, is the RESULT of a dream/vision fulfilled.
The dream that M.L.K., JR had was for equality. But what we have today ladies and gentleman is OH SOO MUCH MORE!!! Today is an EXAMPLE!!!, an example of what can come to past when YOU choose to follow a calling that was placed on your heart by God himself.
Martin Luther King, J.R. was the foundation, Barack Hussein Obama is just the beginnning. It is up to US as a people and NATION OF GOD's CHILDREN, to ensure that we continue this progress to see this holy land flourish as it should.
So today, enjoy, celebrate, be proud of this moment. But remember that it's not JUST about having an African-American president, it's about the manifestation of the plan that the Lord God has set out for this nation
ENJOY!!!

KANYE IS AS GOOD AS (IF NOT BETTER THAN) JAY-Z & LIL WAYNE
..........AND WANTS TO POSE NUDE IN THE FUTURE!!!
Kanye West has become a worldwide music icon by always telling us the naked truth as he sees it. In the February issue of Vibe — the only cover story he's done to promote 808s & Heartbreak — the Grammy winner contemplates baring even more than that.
"I made a decision. I wanna make popular music, but I want less fans," he told writer Sean Fennessey when asked if he was comfortable with fame. "I want the freedom of having less fans. It's like the freedom of having less money. If you have less money, you have less responsibility. It's like Björk. If she wanted to pose naked, you'd be like, 'Oh, that's Björk.' But if I wanted to pose naked, people would draw all type of things into it. I definitely feel like, in the next however many years, if I work out for two months, that I'll pose naked. I break every rule and mentality of hip-hop, of black culture, of American culture."
(Kanye had some things to say about his photo on the magazine's cover, too.)
Kanye clarified that by "less fans" he meant having a core of 20,000 devotees who understand him, rather than a swell of 100,000 "fly-by-night" followers who just favor him because he's the hot thing out.
West also gave his take on some of his peers, telling the publication that he refuses to say anything negative about fellow performers, but has no problem giving praise where it is due.
"I believe Beyoncé is the greatest performer of our generation," he offered. "I believe I am the greatest entertainer of this generation. I go neck-and-neck on Jay-Z and [Lil] Wayne as far as who's the best lyricist. Jay-Z has longevity."
MTV News' reigning Hottest MC in the Game also discussed his singing efforts on 808s & Heartbreak, calling the album his top project ever and the most resonate LP of 2008

"Voletta Wallace, the mother of the late Notorious B-I-G, would like to chat with Lil’ Kim after seeing her son’s bio-pic, Notorious. Ms. Wallace is curious about the abuse Kim endured when she was with Biggie. She tells us, “[After watching the film], I saw the man, I saw the father, I saw the son, I saw the friend… But there are parts of that man that made me angry… Angry because I never saw that part of him. When he left my home, he had a life out there… When I saw [the film], there was a part of that man I want to slap. That young woman, I want to hug… I want to ask her tons of questions. I want to ask her why? Is this the truth?”
Notorious opens in theaters in less than a week."

BONE THUGS-N-HARMONY CONTINUES TO MAKE HIP HOP HISTORY, PREPARING FOR GREATEST TRIUMPH YET AS "UNI 5"
Los Angeles, California (December 5, 2008) – Since the recent Bone Thugs-N-Harmony "Uni 5" Live Reunion Concert when history was witnessed as all 5 original members of the legendary hip hop group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony reunited on stage for the first time in over a decade, the excitement and anticipation in Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's "Uni 5" reunion project has never been greater.
This is a momentous occasion for hip hop history as Layzie Bone, Krayzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Flesh-n-Bone, and Wish Bone prepare to release their biggest triumph yet as the legendary Bone Thugs-N-Harmony in response to the overwhelming demand of their immensely loyal fans.
In an exclusive interview, the group states, "Bone Thugs-N-Harmony coming together for the "Uni 5" album is a monumental movement for hip hop and family life in general. It shows that any obstacle can be overcome, and unity, love, and harmony are the best remedies; hence, the "Uni 5." The Bone legacy is here to stay!" And after over 15 years as a group, this statement is truly undeniable."
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is authentic, and sits on Hip Hop's top shelf! They created a category over 15 years ago that they will always define. As long as there is a culture called HIP HOP that exists, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will always be welcomed and deemed relevant!" says Big Bob Francis, Chief Brand Engineer of Brand Engine and Brand Manager of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. He continues, "Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is a BRAND; they have the ability to sell their PRODUCT directly to their dedicated fans. Their new deal not only gives them the freedom to create and widely distribute the music that they feel and what they know their fans want, but also the ability to own their current and future master recordings! Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have signed the deal of their careers. The type of deal that every artist with staying power "dreams" about and most will try to duplicate. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Worldwide (the new BONE Label) will release the "Uni 5" album on June 30, 2009 to their extremely large and loyal fan base."
As the music industry continues to look to reach its consumers, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony fans will have direct access to all content, merchandise, and exclusive information from the group's self-owned label. To say the least, fans will be ecstatic to learn that Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are preparing to not only release the "Uni 5" reunion album, but release a feature film, launch a worldwide "Uni 5" Live Reunion Concert Tour, and distribute live concert DVD's as well.

Lil' Kim not feeling so NO-torious....
story courtesy of
THATSHIPHOP.COM
Lil’ Kim is as mad as hell about the way she’s portrayed in the highly anticipated Biggie bio-pic Notorious.
The pint-sized femcee tells Hip-Hop Weekly that she blames the late rapper’s mom Voletta Wallace and widow Faith Evans for the dissing, saying, “I’ve had enough and I’m about to expose them both. I’ve been quiet for a long time. I’m very disappointed in Faith. There’s nothing Faith or Ms. Wallace could do to stop me from reppin’ B-I-G all day. I’m gonna always do that… It’s time for Ms. Wallace to be exposed.” — David Sprague
