Now it's A LOT (and i do mean A LOT!) of artists from Detroit that are taking chances on being themselves, and not feeling obligated to make "Detroit" music. Although this is true, many of those artists lose themselves and their sense of where they're from when they do this. Either that or they wind up doing some off the wall type shit that makes no sense & therefore makes me question the Detroit-ism. Danny Brown is the perfect example of the modern Detroit hip hop artist.
