Young Scolla - Renaissance Dreams
Renaissance Man was a term instituted in the 14th century (Renaissance Era) to identify an individual who excelled in many fields (ideally the arts, during that era). This is a term that Musician, Young Scolla strongly identifies with because he's not only a skilled emcee but a talented producer and singer as well. It's no coincidence that he also hails from the city of Detroit once known for it's own art & automobile Renaissance. Young Scolla's new project "Renaissance Dreams" represents the many dreams and aspirations for success and the greater good that run parallel with that of his city's own. "My city is one that even in recession and dire loss exudes great talent and skillfulness in it's people" , "I just want to be to use my talents to bring a spot light back to my city and state and at the same time reach my goals and dreams" On this project Scolla paints images of his environment as well as his own life and uses wordplay an epic production to draw connection between the two.
This will be Young Scolla's third solo release and serve as a set up for those to follow. Features production from TrakGIRL, Scolla himself (and The Xtraordinary Gentlemen Production Team) as well as Tee Music, Tecknowledgy, NorthStarz, WrighTrax, Big Soji, Dekk (Spread Music), The Olympicks and producers under the TrenchWerk Music team (i.e. Nard and B and more).
