Danny Brown “S.O.S. (Shaq on Stilts) (Prod. Slopfunkdust)” Video

Now it's A LOT (and i do mean A LOT!) of artists from Detroit that are taking chances on being themselves, and not feeling obligated to make "Detroit" music. Although this is true, many of those artists lose themselves and their sense of where they're from when they do this. Either that or they wind up doing some off the wall type shit that makes no sense & therefore makes me question the Detroit-ism. Danny Brown is the perfect example of the modern Detroit hip hop artist. He has ALWAYS done his own thing and stayed true to himself as an artist, while still making music that represents the beautiful city that is; Detroit...

MUSIC VIDEO: Aleon Craft – “Strange” (prod. SMKA)

“Strange” is the first of several short videos directed by Dustin Chambers, off Aleon Craft: The Stargazing Soundtrack hosted by Mick Boogie & Terry Urban…out August 2010.

SMKA & Aleon Craft remixed the classic Doors song, “Strange.” “Strange” has become somewhat of a theme song for the odd and eccentric. It has become an essential song for any Halloween play-list and has sort of taken on a life of its own. However, if you have ever felt alone or unaccepted…then you can probably relate to the words written by Jim Morrison. Aleon Craft’s music is sometimes dismissed as “Strange”… so we thought it would be appropriate if we recreate this song for The Stargazing Soundtrack. – SMKA
